Blue Sclera: Hi Amber: Inflammation, scleritis, can lead to blue sclera. Diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis are associated with scleritis (and eye disease can v. rarely present as first sign of RA). Hypermobility syndromes, Ehlers Danlos, or Pseudoxanthoma Elasticum can present with blue sclera. Make sure no toxicities with heavy metals. Alkaptonuria, a rare disease is assoc. with blue sclera.
