Otherwise normal?: If a child is normal but won't eat what is served at mealtime, that just means he is not hungry (if having ill symptoms, must see the doctor). If not ill, and is forced to eat when not hungry, he may just hold food in his mouth. It's the parents' role to offer food. It's the child's choice to eat it. Can encourage eating by keeping the child hungry (such as giving no calories between meals).
