Not sure, but can...: Retest after 1 more week. A home urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon and thus lead to a repeat test. If a test's "positive" line is faint or uncertain, just retest after 1 more week.

Thinner: An evaporation line is a line caused by the evaporation of your urine. It can show up sooner that the test time limit. If a line shows up after the test time limit has passed, it probably isn't an evaporation line--it is probably a true positive result. Evap lines can appear to be thinner than a true positive result would be. There is a LOT of information on this topic at peeonastickfreak.com
