A member asked:

Why do hormones / puberty make teenagers angry and antisocial?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

They don't.: Teens are extremely social.....With each other. The teenage years are a time when people separate from their parents; they often behave in ways contrary to expectations in order to assert their individuality. Problems occur when an individual is perceived by their peers as "weird." then the social instincts are frustrated by social isolation, and misery ensues.
