Why do you use lax?: Do you use laxatives because of back pain? You may need to modify your diet to minimize constipation. Increase fiber and water, minimize cheese and processed food. Definitely need to see a healthcare professional if things don't get better.

Not directly: 18 yo female has chronic unilateral "low back pain" & regularly uses laxatives. Concern for musculoskeletal back disorder & irritable bowel syndrome of constipation type, IBS-C. See Osteopath for former & Gastroenterologist for latter. Age & sex raise concern for fibromyalgia, which might be considered if no distinct findings via these evaluations; then see Rheumatologist.
