Pain is severe: If pain is severe or if you have fever then you need to be evaluated urgently. If you do not have a fever and the pain is mild to moderate but you have a vaginal discharge, itching or burning then you need to be evaluated as soon as possible. If you have pain and a positive pregnancy test it could be an ectopic pregnancy and you need to be evaluated urgently.
