Here are some...: How much does the tilted uterine cervix contribute to female infertility? It is controversial although in anatomical sense such cervix may create a dam-like barrier like salmon swimming up and jumping over a dam; but physiologically, sperms just swim with no jump. To make sperms closer and easier to swim up into the Fallopian tube, depositing semen deep inside vagina makes sense... More? ask doc..
