DVT: there are many factors which can contribute to developing deep venous thrombosis in the calves. Usually, the most common underlying factor is inactivity, particularly bed rest. It is important to maintain walking even if one has a surgery or an injury. If you noticed swelling, pain or redness in your calf, or the sudden onset of difficulty breathing, see your doctor immediately.
