My baby is formula fed and she poops after every feed. sometimes, it can be more than other times and has strains of blood. is it sign of infection?

Could be : Infections like salmonella and shigella can cause bloody stool in babies. Other causes include allergy to cow milk protein, constipation, even a life threatening bowel bowel blockage. Age of baby will guide liklihood of these conditions. If the baby is unconsolable please bring him to ER. If he is happy and smiling have him seen by his pediatrician for further history and exam.
