My aching back.: Even if crutches are adjusted perfectly, they can still lead to back pain. Crutches that are too short can cause stooping over and also cause back pain. Too much weight on the shoulders can cause muscles in the back to be over stressed. Even the swing through movement can lead to back pain.

Absolutely : Yes, being on crutches and the abnormal gait that follows can definitely aggravate a précis ting back condition such as degenerative disc disease (bulging discs). Don't hesitate to be seen and have your back evaluated if you are having a lot of trouble with it.
