Normal: There is a line of glands crossing the base of the tongue in the back.Most folks don't pay attention to these and never notice them. This is what comes to mind first.Any other issue would require a look and see. If they don't bother you, bring it up at some future visit and have their nature confirmed.

Probably: Probably normal major salivary glands. Please see a Dentist for evaluation and, if it has been longer than 6 months, a comprehensive Dental Examination.
