It depends: Dysmenorrhea or painful menstruation is unfortunately very common. All women are not the same and some may get cramps and pains in diffferent areas with menstruation. As your uterus and reproductive organs change and slough off the lining monthy, with hormonal surges, cramping in the pelvic vacinity can occur. Discuss with a gynecologist or start with your family dr or pediatrican. Good luck.
