Call your surgeon: For continuity of care, call your surgeon to let them know of your symptoms. You may need to see them for follow-up care. The black stool, 10 days post-op is disconcerting for an internal bleed, so call the surgeon and discuss now. Best wishes.

Stool changes: Black, tarry, foul-smelling stool can be due to gastro-intestinal bleeding (melena). Very pale stools may be related to lack of bile salt. You report that you also have fever and abdominal pain/ pressure. Recommend promptly notifying your surgeon. If you develop severe abdominal pain, high fever please seek emergency medical evaluation.
