CHRONIC COUGH: chronic cough by definition lasts > 8wks. Allergic rhinitis /GERD/ASTHMA are the top causes. You need an exam/labs and potentially a CXR. Medication will be prescribed depending on the final diagnosis. Often all 3 problems overlap and need to be evaluated and treated simultaneously.
