Gastroenteritis: Nausea / diarrhea, could be a bacterial infection, such as food poisoning. Or, a viral infection in the intestine could cause this. Hydration with gatorade is helpful, to replace electrolytes. Avoid fatty foods / dairy products that could make diarrhea worse. If diarrhea persists, a full evaluation will be helpful, for example blood tests / stool cultures to find the source and guide therapy
