On rx miralax (polyethylene glycol) to help with constipation. on day 2 & i noticed an anal fissure that hurts bad. should i call my gi about this or treat it myself?

Watch for a day or 2: Miralax (polyethylene glycol) will also help a fissure by treating constipation. Sitting in a hot water bath for ten minutes three times a day will also help. If you are having any additional symptoms or not getting better in am couple of days call your doctor.
