How about testing?: A simple and quick pregnancy test that I believe you can purchase from any pharmacy in the UK will likely give you an answer as to why your period is late. I take it you're sexually active? I don't know if there are age restrictions on purchasing items from the pharmacy such as pregnancy tests in the UK. If that were to be negative then, retry in 1 week. Perhaps, your period will come by then.
