Big picture: The red cell size distribution width is nothing other than a marker that says red cells vary in size; when i've been borderline-iron deficient from donating blood this has happened to me. Don't treat the number, find the cause -- it could be something as simple as your genes or a warning of real illness. Your physician can sort this out. Best wishes.
