Costochondritis?: Could just be an inflammatory process of unknown cause that is responsible for your symptoms. Ask your doctor if a course of anti-inflammatory medication is appropriate. It doesn't sound dangerous. Also, make sure to get a good physical exam from your doctor as well. Hope this helps!
