Metformin: Metformin is an excellent drug for both PCOs and prediabetes. The dosage may be in question. I would use a minimum of 1500 mg daily in divided doses. If your periods are not obtained with use of Metformin alone, you may need the addition estrogen in the form of birth control pills to regulate your periods. Consult your gynecologist regarding the discharge. I do not think it is related to Metformin
