Not really...: A pap smear and pelvic exam won't trigger an early menstrual period. Scraping the cervix for the pap specimen might result in slight bleeding, especially if there was infection or inflammation involving the cervix. If you're at risk for STDs, gonorrhea and chlamdyia might be a concern. Best to check back with the office where the pap was done. Good luck!
