"Sticky" semen...: ...isn't necessarily abnormal, especially if your fiance hasn't noticed any change. If there is also abnormal color (yellow, brown), he should see a doctor to check for infection -- although infection would usually make semen more fluid and less "sticky", not more. Amount of water intake or smoking shouldn't make any difference. If any doubt, he should see a doctor. Best wishes to both of you.

Semen is 1st sticky: Semen is sticky and thick when first produced to take the sperm along in the vagina. After about 30-45 min liquefaction occurs allowing sperm to swim away into womb and tubes. All this is normal.
