No: I'm not sure why you are taking Prednisone but often with infection, it is recommended the dose be increased. Talk to your doctor for ongoing care. Recheck your urine to see if the infection is clearing. All the best.

Depends: On general condition of the patient, other diseases, duration of immune suppression, dosage of steroids given, changing the dosage or the antibiotic would in the context of clinical picture and the patient's response, generally speaking if the antibiotic is the right one for the bug, and in the right dose, it won't be affected by the steroids (prednisone), wish you well

Not: Not at this dose. It takes a much larger dose for months to affect the immune responses to bacteria.

Someone? or yourself: You list several medical conditions that might raise concerns with handling infection; the addition of chronic systemic steroid use may well potentiate that risk, though this forum is not intended for individual medical advice. A 25 yr old otherwise healthy male may not experience any problems with infection on prednisone 10 mg daily for a month or so. So it depends on the specifics.
