Orthopod evaluation: is what you need, first to confirm the diagnosis, or another diagnosis, and directs you well through a treatment plan, as for the osteochondritis dissecans which you believe you have, please keep your joint at rest as much as you can and avoid stressing your knee, whether you need a cast, that's yet to be decided by the orthopod, there is no single treatment that fits every case, got to be customized
