Chest pain: Do you have HTN, Diabetes, high cholesterol? Do you smoke or live with someone who smokes? Lifestyle - sedentary, obesity? Menopausal? History of symptoms and Physical exam. All this weigh in your diagnosis of cardiac vs non cardiac CP.

Risk is there: your risk of having a heart problem with diabetes is high. If you recently had a cardiac evaluation and if it's normal then worry about other causes. You have panic attacks, that can be another reason. But first please make sure that this is not related to heart condition. Sometimes it can be atypical nature of pain. Talk to your doctor more about it for appropriate testing.
