Hives?: This could be related to blood flow changes in the skin if there are no associated symptoms and may be normal; but if there is itching or swelling with the redness then it sounds like hives. If hives occurring for more than a month or if not responding to second generation otc antihistamine like Zyrtec, (cetirizine) would recommend an appointment with Allergist.
