May be normal: If the discharge is not foul smelling, is not causing itching, it may be part of normal process. If you more than 5 days for your period, do a home pregnancy test. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.

It may be ovulation: It is not uncommon to have a clear discharge from the vagina which actually originates from the cervix. It generally means you are releasing an egg from your ovary

Depends: If it doesn't smell foul and you aren't having any itching or cramping, its most likely normal. Just before your period there is an increased amount of mucous produced by your cervix. This is healthy unless you are having any of the symptoms listed above. Then you should see a healthcare provider.
