No problem: Though the antibiotic penicillin was first isolated in association with certain mold cultures, allergy to penicillin-type antibiotics (such as amoxicillin) is not associated with allergy to ingestion to foods that may contain mold, nor allergy to mold spores in the air.

BLUE CHEESE PENICILLIN: WHILE BLEU CHEESE HAS A STRAIN OF PENICILLIN IN IT, IT APPARENTLY IS NOT THE STRAIN THAT CAUSES HIVES OR ANGIOEDEMA. DO, HOWEVER, CHECK WITH YOUR PCP OR INTERNIST. BEST LUCK!
