My mother has alzheimers. recently, she has started chewing clothes like her nigh suit, the bed cover that she is laid in. any cloth basically. ?

Harmless Comfort: 54 year old female says, My mother has Alzheimer's. recently has started chewing clothes like her night suit... any cloth basically? Spontaneous Chewing on personal Clothing/Bedding & other items have been noted and reported by many Family/ Caregivers in late Alzheimer's stage. Not really clear why but it is harmless and seems to give them some comfort. Just ensure they don't chew harmful/toxic
