Get tested: You need to get your blood tested. Depending on how long ago the exposure was, you may need a HIV nucleic acid test if exposure was recent, if it was more than 6 months ago, an antibody test may suffice.

Blood testing: I'd recommend bloodwork over the other screening methods. There's no other way to know.
