Yes: In fact, it is usually normal flow at the time of your period. The endometrium thickens (decidualizes) just prior to menses in preparation of an implantation of pregnancy. Sometimes, endometriosis patients will expel a decidual cast of the uterus with heavy cramping that comes out intact.
