Normal variant: This is a normal variant of menstrual cycles and does not indicate a problem. If you have a concern about pregnancy, a pregnancy test can be done with these shorter cycle durations,. If pain occurs, see a MD to rule out ectopic pregnancy if pregnancy test is questionable.
