No lasting effect: Fumes can cause your symptoms but should resolve within 1-2hrs with exposure to fresh air and avoiding further exposure to fumes. If symptoms persist more than 2-3 hours after exposure (and you are not being re-exposed) then best to be evaluated. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck. Dr R
