A member asked:

If conception takes place on sept.7 and alcohol was consumed sept 13, 15 and 22, what stage was fetus in and how much risk of fas this early?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very low: The baby generally does not connect to the maternal blood supply until approximately 7 days post fertilization or conception; and major developmental changes are not having to 6-8 weeks. Several drinks aver the time you missed your period should not harm the baby but obviously, if you are pregnant or there is a chance of being pregnant, not more alcohol. Good luck.
