Not a good idea: Most parents do not make a proper saline solution with any recipe. When too concentrated or too dilute, the effect on a babys nose will usually cause internal swelling and aggravate any problem. Simple saline nasal solution is available in most dollar stores and has the proper concentration for regular use.
