A member asked:

I have had psoriasis x 6 months, i have had pain in left ankle x 3 days, no history of injury. should i be concerned about psoratic arthritis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: Psoriatic arthritis typically affects the joints of the fingers and toes only, larger joints like the ankle are very rarely affected. As it is, only a small percentage (~10%) of patients with psoriasis develop psoriatic arthritis. I would look for other causes of your ankle pain.
