A member asked:

Can you tell me the risks associated with pregnancy with hashimotos? thank you.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Few: Hashimoto's thyroiditis is one of the most common causes for a low thyroid. The most important thing, in regards to pregnancy, is to make sure your thyroid level remains normal throughout. We typically have patients do thyroid blood tests as soon as they know they are pregnant, and then about every 2 months while pregnant.
