My son is having an allergic reaction; i can't tell the cause. i don't have an epee pen with me. what should i do until i can get to the hospital?

Call 911: If this problem is urgent, you need to call 911 now. In the meanwhile, keep his legs elevated. Antihistamine is not likely to help the immediate problem but won'd hurt either.

Allergic Reaction: If you don't have EpiPen on hand with a child with a reaction concerning for anaphylaxis call 911 immediately. Paramedics carry epinephrine with them at all times and can quickly treat your son. In the meantime treat with antihistamines if you have them.

Epi pen: If he is having any symptoms of a systemic allergic reaction such as vomiting, abd pain, difficulty breathing, drooling, feeling tired, dizzy or woozy, irritable.
