See a sleep MD: You need to be evaluated for a condition called Sleep Apnea. Ask your regular Dr. For the name of a qualified sleep specialist or inquire at your local hospital. He will do a sleep study and if you have sleep apnea, a condition which causes you to stop breathing for several minutes while sleeping. He will treat it. This is potentially a serious condition so don't ignore it.

Symptoms: I would say get a referral to a reputable sleep lab for a sleep study. Snoring can impair sleep as well as apnea and other kinds of sleep disturbances. Also: how much stress are you under day to day? If the answer is a great deal, then consider getting a referral to a competent psychotherapist to discuss whatever is going on with you emotionally.
