Blepharospasm/stress: Twitching of the eyelid is most commonly due to stress or dry eye, but a thyroid condition can also cause eyelid twitching or blepharospasm. I would suggest you try artificial tear lubricants three times a day and if you are no better in a week, see a physician and have your blood drawn for thyroid tests. A stress relief program including exercise (walking a mile per day) has also been helpful.

Twitching eye: These twitching eyelids and even eye muscles are due often to stress or a condition called myokymia. The condition is benign but can be debilitating. This is one of the few justifiable medical reasons for using BOTOX, which effectively paralyses the tiny muscles causing the twitching and gives instant relief. See an Opthalmologist and ask him if your case justifies the use of BOTOX. thanks
