Infection: is strong possibility. See an urgent care or ER doctor if you can not get a hold of your doctor by phone. You probably need oral antibiotic .

A small cut, less than an inch on the inside of hand, reopened a few times in a couple of days. It is a little red and swollen. Would covering and antibotic cream heal it?

SP cath. hole became infected. antibiotic pills. much better now, still a ring of very red with little pus around the hole. putting antibiotic cream on it. washing it with saline solution, dry it, then the cream. why dont it sting when touched?
