Azithromycin 1 g...: ...in a single dose is perfect for chlamydia and/or NGU, one of the two standard treatments. It's not sufficient or recommended for most prostate infections. However, true prostatitis is rare in young men and not an STD (and not caused by chlamydia), but sometimes difficult to distinguish from NGU. So my guess is you don't have a prostate problem. But clarify with your doctor if uncertain.
