PND or LPR: Greetings. This is a wonderful question that puzzles me more often than I'd like. I often times try to get more detailed history from the patient. More nasal vs throat symptoms? Meds that helped? Associated conditions are important. Finally as an ENT doctor, I can use an endoscope to view the vocal cord areas to see if there is characteristic areas of redness where LPR typically occurs. See ENT.
