Yes: If your physician can biopsy the warts then the cause can be determined accurately. If you want to avoid this you can get blood tests for syphillis to make sure you do not have syphillis.

Condyloma lata: The first thing would be to do a syphillis test. If positive the lesions can very well be condyloma lata and should be treated as secondary syphillis.
