Different effects: There are medicines that act differently on different parts of body. Baking soda used typically over skin wouldn't be the the same if you take it orally, where it would have alkalinizing property, to neutralize body acids. Minoxidil is a classic example to understand this phenomenon. It's original use was oral for BP, but it's topical use as Regain has made millions of men happier!
