No single test: There is no signle diagnostic method for arthritis. It depends on details of symptoms; other joints involved; physical examination; sometimes xrays; and often various kinds of blood tests. Discuss with your doctor -- or if necessary maybe referral to a rheumatologist (arthritis specialist) or sometimes an orthopedist. Good luck.
