Hi about to start champix tomorrow to stop smoking and i take aropax also 20 was just wondering if it is ok my doctor said yes but just wanted to check again before i start taking it. thanks

Social support: Social support helps--your doc or hospital may know of a group for you. Coffee/tea mugs, cigarettes, all give off a "i'm on a break message" to self and others. Give yourself permission to take a break/relax w/out that. Oral habit so mints, gum, etc. Can help. You can do it and your loved ones will be grateful. W/or w/out meds, please use the above.

Safe together BUT: your doctor should indicate to you that Chantix has been associated with increased depression in some studies (but not in many others). Since you are on paroxetine, I assume, for depression, you may be at somewhat higher risk for chantix increasing that depression. I have treated many patients with depression on meds without seeing any problems, but if yours gets worse, stop Chantix and call MD.
