Yes: 15-25% have dermatitis herpetiformis. Eczema, psoriasis, chronic dry skin, acne, hives and alopecia areata also associated. Aphthous ulcers on the tongue or mucous membranes are common in autoimmune and mitochondrial disorders. A cure was published a year ago, and I found it effective in a mitochondrial patient: 1000 mcg of sublingual methylcobalamin q day for up to 6 months before clearing.
