Costochondritis: this is a condition of pain and inflammation in the muscles of the chest wall. Causes not really certain. I do not believe it is related to your medication use. Treatment is anti-inflammatory, heat to the area as tolerated. If no better in a week to 10 days, see your doctor.If you develop shortness of breath or worsening chest pain, seek immediate medical attention. Hope this was helpful. Dr. R

Exam needed: This discomfort could be arising in the intercostal muscle or nerve of the rib cage,a rib,the liver,gall bladder or right lung base. An examination by a physician is indicated and appropriate tests will be ordered. I don't think that we can attribute this discomfort to your taking methamphetamine which I feel would cause more generalized symptoms.
