Breath easy: MERS stands for Middle East respiratory syndrome. It is caused by a novel coronavirus that was first reported in Saudis Arabia in 2012. It is not confirmed to be contagious via aerosol. Having said that if you travel to South Korea a mask is a precaution that is recommended.

Maybe. No: it is a new type of respiratory virus that we have not seen before. Most people who contract it urvive. Those that are older or significant underlying health issues could be at significant risk. Would not recommend wearing surgical mask or face masks at this time. Whether icomes to United States or not is anyone's guess but with current air travel and worldwide travel I would not be surprised
